Jack Blagman's account of service in China, 1945-1946
I was a member of Gropac 13, and in fact boarded the Warhawk in San
Francisco and was on it during the entire journey to Tangku. I was in
Seaman Guard until Spring of '46 when I was given an assignment as
Liberty Clerk in the Imperial Hotel in Tientsin. After two months I was
transferred to communications. I returned home in August '46.
