*Andre Jackson Chestnut, Pvt. Co. E, 31st Regt., Vol. Infantry "Evans Brigade" Gordon's Div."Bartow Guards" Army of North. VA. Mustered 1 May 1862. Contracted disease of spine 1864, resulting in permanent disability-both legs paralyzed.Pension record shows he was wounded, right index finger destroyed at Hatcher's Run, VA 6 Feb 1865. Paroled Albany,GA 15 May 1865. He was b June 1838.
*Charles W. Chestnut,Jr., Pvt. Enlisted as Pvt. Co. K, 2nd Regt. GA Inf.in exchange for David Benjamin Elliott 26 Sep 1862 d of smallpox in hosp. 2nd Corps, Guinea Station, VA 30 Jan 1863.
*Henry W. Chestnut, Pvt. 1 May 1862, Captured in 1862. Received at Aiken's Landing, VA 7 Sep 1862 exch. 21 Sept. 1862, transferred to Co. E, 5th Reg. GA Reserve Inf. 25 May 1864. Pension rec. shows he was captured near Fayetteville, NC 1 Apr 1865 and held there till the war closed.
*Thomas R. Chestnut, Pvt. 13 Nov 1861 wounded 1862 at Winchester, VA 13 Jul 1863, d of wounds 25 Jun 1863.
* W.J. (or W.I.) Chestnut, Pvt. 1 May 1862 wounded at Monocacy, MD 9 Jul 1864, paroled at Albany, GA 16 May 1865.
